Beginner Swim Lessons
An understanding of skills with technique are built to develop co-ordination and confidence with freestyle arm action and kicking. Back float and tread water is introduced and strengthened. Freestyle breathing technique becomes focus in development.
Beginner swimming lessons classes designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in swimming. This swim lessons are provide to students with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to become proficient and confident swimmers. Teaching basic water safety, floating, kicking, and arm strokes, as well as breath control and endurance building. The goal of beginner swimming lessons is to help students overcome any fear or discomfort they may have in the water and to lay the foundation for further swim instruction and development.
The Goals
- Breathing control by practicing breathing excercises to help you get comfortable with putting your face in the water
- Learn to float your back and front to help more confidence and relaxed in the water
- Practice kicking with a kickboard to build strength in your legs and improve your body positioning.
- Learn the basic strokes, such as freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
- Make sure to always follow pool rules and understand basic water safety techniques, such as what to do in case of emergency.
